Dear Participants,
Thank you very much for your lively responses to my first post on the Workshop Blog, “Opening Statement”. It is good to learn that participants are from diverse backgrounds and thus will bring a wide range of experiences into the workshop.
My next question is about your expectations towards the workshop. Kindly click on “About this Workshop” and then read about the details of the workshop objectives and content.
After that, post comments on areas of research, issues and aspects that you are specifically interested in. This will help the trainers and resource persons to design the workshop content in a way that is most beneficial to the invited participants.
Please make sure to leave your comments in this section of the blog - “Your Expectations”.
The trainers and resource persons look forward to reading from you!
Kind regards,
Michael

Upon reading the themes and contents of this workshop, my interest in this workshop has certainly peaked! I am excited to learn about the F-HIA and discuss how this is applicable to forest communities.
Being a social forester, this area of research is new and interesting to me because research that takes off on human and forest health is very rare. Usually, the researches focus only on socio-economic aspects of forestry, so this may be a good area of focus.
Specifically, I’m interested in the tools and methods itself. If there are any experimental research that has been done along this line, I would also be very interested in learning about it. Human behavior really has a big impact in forest health, I guess this workshop would explore the scenarios in this line and the ways on how we can harmonize the human-forest dynamics.
Like Eyob’s comment in the “about” section, I am also interested in ethnobotany!
I am looking forward to this workshop, I hope we will learn a lot of things together.

This is a post-training comment:
The Forests and Human Health Workshop has expanded the edges of what I know about the importance and significance of understanding forests and human dynamics to new dimensions. I have learned a lot, and I hope that this experience will be translated into the added enrichment of the field of forestry and research.
Thank you very much to all the training facilitators and sponsors for giving me the opportunity in attending this workshop.
Kudos!
